A 3PDT true bypass module compatible with the FX Teacher pedals,
to be connected without soldering to replace a broken footswitch!
With our new FX Teacher kits, we decided to upgrade the footswitch. Indeed, the 3PDT is the part which is the most subjected to constraints,
both during the assembly of the kit because of its heat sensitivity, and during the use of the pedal, at home or in live.
The old V1true bypass kits were soldered directly to the main pcb with two 4 pins connectors.
These pins are delicate to solder, and are often mounted crooked, which is a problem when placing the kit in the enclosure.
And above all, once assembled, desoldering is a meticulous operation that can damage the pedal!
So we developed on the new V2 kits a removable footswitch system, which can be replaced without having to unsolder anything!
Whether it’s to replace a broken or badly soldered footswitch on a DIY kit, or to move to a relay soft switch without clicking, the footswitch can be interchanged at will.
Do you have an older kit that uses two 4 pins connectors for the footswitch?
The new V2 kits are not compatible, but the older V1 versions of the 3PDT true bypass and relay true bypass are still available.
Unfortunately, you will have to use the soldering iron and desoldering pump!
You have a recent kit with a 2×6 pins connector and you need to change the footswitch without going through the DIY step? You are at the right place!
This 3PDT module V2 is already assembled for you, you just have to unscrew the old one and connect the new one inside the pedal, without having to solder/unsolder!
You can also look at the true bypass relay module, also compatible, which is much stronger and allows you to have a soft switch that doesn’t click.
