Why do I need a lead free tip refresher?
Unfortunately, the tip of the soldering iron is constantly under a lot of a pression!
The main reason? Leadfree tin! Because of its higher melting temperature and its much more corrosive flux  compared to tin with lead.

An iron soldering tip costs between 5 and 15 bucks based on the soldering iron you have. Then, depending on the quality, frequency of use, we replace it every 2 to 10 weeks.

advices for use

On a 7h long day of soldering in the workshop, we dip the tip approximately 4 times a day.
